Your mission as a Customer Account Manager
As a Customer Account Manager, you are the central interface between our international customers and MTU Maintenance. You accompany the entire life cycle of an engine — from order placement to delivery — and ensure that technical requirements, economic goals, and contractual conditions are optimally aligned.
You will play a key role in this process: you will mediate between customer interests and internal departments, create transparency, manage complex projects, and make a significant contribution to customer satisfaction and economic success.
YOUR TASKS
Customer Support
- Key contact person for all commercial and technical customer issues – in close coordination with engineering and other specialist departments
- Active support and further development of existing customer relationships with a view to technical and economic requirements
- Controlling of ongoing projects and derivation of measures for process, quality, and result optimization
- Preparation of cost estimates and invoices
- Ensuring a transparent communication chain, including status reports, technical coordination, and documentation
- Planning, coordination, and execution of customer visit
Contract and order management
- Definition of repair scopes and budget frameworks for engine repairs in close consultation with the customer
- Complete order support — from preparation and operational control to invoicing — in collaboration with engineering, logistics, and production control
- Ensuring the cost-effectiveness of maintenance orders and monitoring order- and contract-related KPIs
- Supporting the sales team in preparing and executing bidding campaigns
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed degree in business administration, (industrial) engineering, aerospace engineering, general mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in account management in the aviation or maintenance industry desirable
- Good project management and IT skills (MS Office, SAP)
- Willingness to travel internationally and be on call (Aircraft-On-Ground-Support (AOG))
- Business fluent English skills, hands-on mentality, ability to work in a team, and an independent, analytical, goal-oriented approach to work
