Lead Supply Chain Coordinator (Position# MMSP-26001)

Department: MMSP - Engine Purchase OV

Reporting to  Greg Dowler, Manager MMSP, the Lead will be responsible for the daily coordination and optimization of resources for the Supply Chain Coordinator; Planner(s) & buyers in MMSP.

Typical Duties and Responsiblities:

  1. Provide daily feedback to Manager regarding resource availability, quality & quantity, prioritize capacity within MMSP.
  2. Working member of the Supply Chain Coordinator; Planner & Buyers team.
  3. Delegate tasks clearly and appropriately to team members including expected outcome and timeline eg identify Off-engine, facilitate get well plan & and inform MTUC-Prod. Control etc.
  4. Ensure specific tasks set by Manager and daily tasks are completed within the expected timeframe ; Coins/QN’s ; Vendor monitoring & follow up’s
  5. Ensure MMSP inputs on material delivery commitments are updated daily on SFM Board & C2  
  6. Allocate appropriately qualified human resources based on your prioritized task list.
  7. Schedule and plan training and cross training as required.
  8. Re-prioritize the task list in conjunction with the Team Leader in the event of exception logs or absent employees.
  9. Coordinate with Production, Production Control, Customer Support and Logistics departments to ensure all support required is provided and that deadlines are met.
  10. End of shift responsibilities; Passover and feedback to team, other MMS leads and Team Leaders.
  11. Responsible for audit preparation and compliance, as well as ensuring that Quality and Health and Safety rules are adhered to.
  12. Coordination of training of shop orientation and training for new Material Coordinators, as well as maintaining and monitoring WBL (Work Based Learning).
  13. Solve SAP, Fiori & inventory related problems, and communicate any outstanding issues to MMSA buyers, planner & Supply Chain Coordinators and Team Leaders for further action when required.
  14. Assist in any MMSP & MMSD Supply Chain Coordinator  work area when additional resources are required to complete tasks on time.
  15. Take initiative to work on efficiency, organizational and safety improvements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess knowledge of department processes and procedures.
  • Possess strong SAP theory and transaction understanding.
  • Possess excellent leadership skills, organizational ability and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Be knowledgeable of MMS internal processes and applicable parts of the company MPM, IPV, OP’s & WI
  • Must have been employed with the Company for a minimum of two (2) years
