Production Planning and Control Coordinator â€‹

The Production Planning and Control Coordinator oversees the scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of aircraft production and maintenance activities to ensure efficient operations, timely delivery, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize resources, manage workflows, and maintain production schedules in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supporting operational planning and control, and related departments in the handling of engines, modules, and individual parts in day-to-day business.
  • Maintain production planning and control master data within SAP standard modules.
  • Test new SAP functionalities, troubleshoot error messages, and provide timely resolutions together with IT.
  • Set up KPI reporting cockpits for the location
  • Provide initial training and system support for the second-level user
  • Support direct and indirect departments, aiming at continuous improvement and standardization
  • Work in cross-departmental and cross-location projects related to production planning and control within the worldwide MTU network, in close collaboration with subject matter experts and IT

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in Production Planning and Control
  • Strong knowledge of planning and control methods, handling scheduling processes and systems in the context of master and transaction data
  • Experienced with application and key user administration of planning and control systems such as ERP, MES, PLM, and BW. SAP knowledge, especially PS and CS, is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a process-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. German language skills would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel, ability to work in a team, and a high level of commitment
  • Willingness to work across time zones and continents
