Quality Engineer (all genders)

 

TASKS

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and aviation regulations ANAC/EASA/FAA Part 145 and USA-Brasil BASA.
  • Support compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements by participating in audits, monitoring legal obligations, and assisting in implementation of risk controls.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and controlling internal procedures, work instructions, and standard practices.
  • Maintain staff qualification records that support authorization for performing and certifying maintenance tasks (as applicable to Part 145).
  • Perform internal audits, process audits, and participate in regulatory audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and local licensing requirements, including the handling of waste, effluents, and hazardous materials (e.g., CETESB requirements).
  • Execute root-cause analysis (RCA) using structured methods (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, FMEA, …).
  • Lead and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), monitoring effectiveness and timely implementation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Collaborate on safety assessments, hazard identification, incident reporting, and follow-up actions.
  • Analyze quality/safety metrics, KPIs, nonconformities, and audit results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in delivering training on quality, environmental, safety, and regulatory topics as required.
  • Provide support to operations, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and engineering teams regarding quality standards and requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and operational discipline throughout the organization.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Technical or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Aerospace Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems and regulatory frameworks (preferably in aviation or manufacturing).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, environmental and safety systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Familiarity with ANAC, EASA and FAA Part 145, USA-Brasil BASA and other regulatory requirements applicable to maintenance organizations.
  • Experience with audit activities, documentation control, and problem-solving tools.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken), including the ability to interpret technical documentation, communicate with international suppliers/customers, and participate in audits or regulatory interactions.
