YOUR TASKS
- Work closely with R&D and the IP-Team to support and protect technical inventions
- Monitor relevant technological developments, competitor activities and regulatory changes to identify implications for ongoing IP work and portfolio development
- Support the build-up, maintenance and administration of an IP portfolio, in particular patents and trade secrets
- Conduct prior art searches as well as freedom-to-operate and invalidity searches
- Support the preparation and review of invention disclosures and coordinate filing activities with patent law firms
- Identify potential IP risks related to third-party rights and support the preparation of freedom-to-operate assessments and invalidity actions in cooperation with patent law firms
- Prepare documentation and standard templates to support internal decision-making and IP processes
- Provide practical guidance and training to internal stakeholders on IP procedures, requirements and best practices
YOUR PROFILE
- Qualified patent attorney with experience in patent prosecution matters
- Technical/scientific degree, preferably in mechanical engineering
- Solid professional experience in intellectual property, IP portfolio handling or related roles, preferably in aviation industries
- Sound knowledge of international IP laws and regulations, in particular patent law
- Experience in managing IP-related processes, coordinating with external counsel and handling IP matters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Structured, precise and reliable working style with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong entrepreneurial and strategic mindset
- Fluent in business German and English
