Within this Global network, MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Director, Human Resources and provides comprehensive HR support across multiple functional areas. This role partners with leadership and employees to support day-to-day human resources operations while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, talent acquisition support, performance management administration, HR systems, and benefits coordination. This position contributes to initiatives that support employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and alignment with MTU’s global HR strategies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Human Resources Operations
- Support the execution of HR programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with MTU objectives.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and confidential employee records.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate and administer end-to-end onboarding processes, including pre-employment requirements, orientation, documentation, and system access.
- Partner with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and compliant onboarding experience.
- Administer offboarding processes, including exit documentation, system access removal, benefits notifications, and exit interviews.
- Ensure all onboarding and offboarding activities comply with company policy, FAA requirements, and employment regulations.
Employee Relations
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and resolution of workplace concerns.
- Support performance management processes, including coaching documentation and corrective action support.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support
- Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, interviews, and hiring documentation.
- Assist with new hire orientation scheduling and onboarding follow-up.
Compliance & Policy Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support FAA-related HR compliance requirements as applicable.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and policy updates.
Benefits & HR Systems
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general benefits questions.
- Support administration of HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping system.
Employee Engagement & HR Initiatives
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and retention programs.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Required Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with FAA guidelines or experience in a regulated environment preferred.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, one (1) year of documented experience as a Human Resources Generalist may be substituted; experience in the Aviation industry is preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of Human Resources experience required.
- Prior experience in aviation, manufacturing, or other regulated industries preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
