Component Apprentice ​

Salary:  $25.85–$29.43 per hour

The Apprentice is responsible for learning about disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on gas turbine engines and aeronautical components/accessories.

Your Tasks:

Typical duties and responsibilities include implementing work plans by following instructions from various sources, using test and measuring equipment to carry out work, recognizing and reporting defects on parts, assemblies, engines, and accessories, certifying correctness of work and performing preliminary inspections, raising and creating repair documents and ordering parts.

  • Must have completed a recognized AME or GTE course or equivalent entry qualification.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have knowledge of engine components/accessories.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills, organizational skills and cooperates well with others
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
