Industrial Engineer

Plays a key role in formulating engine shop visit related process and product development. Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of maintenance requirements, modification changes, leading / coordinating of all the shop engineering activities on a particular engine type or process cluster. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for supporting CNC Operators with set ups, improvement & efficient operation of the CNC Machining Centre.
YOUR TASKS
- Sets up machines, equipment and programs. Makes modifications in machine & program parameters to improve efficiency, operational safety and product quality.
- Read and understand blueprint designs, interpret 3D drawings
- Plan or conduct experimental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes of aerospace systems or equipment.
- Performs R&R Studies
- Plan or coordinate investigation and resolution of customers' reports of technical problem as well as can write technical reports or other documentation
- Determines conformance to specifications.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
YOUR PROFILE
- Must have a Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering preferable in Mechanical engineering with the focus on aerospace Or
- A CNC Operator with a high school diploma or GED with some college certifications in machinery operations accompanied with seven to ten years’ machine shop operations experience with three to five years supervision experience.
- Machine set up experience CNC Lathe/Mill/Grinding machines
- Knowledge of GD&T along with part gaging requirements is preferred.
- Experience with an ERP system preferably SAP and Microsoft Office required.
- Exposure to Siemens NX, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, AutoCAD required
- CAM software experience is an asset
