Development Engineer Flying Fuel Cell Power-Line (all genders)

YOUR TASKS
- Project planning and preliminary design of the electrical system (power line) of the Flying Fuel Cell propulsion system including architectures, including possible derivations (inverter technology, weight, safety analyses, temperature management, efficiency), with a focus on technology development in the fuel cell sector.
- Specification of the associated components (inverter, MCU, e-motor, power distribution, safety systems, heat exchanger, sensors, etc.) as part of the design of the Flying Fuel Cell Power-Line.
- Control of suppliers and partners in the power line domain and cooperation as well as close coordination with all relevant customers and suppliers
- Collaboration on the creation of innovative approaches for the design of the Flying Fuel Cell Power-Line, taking into account the requirements for future propulsion systems.
- Support of the technical Project Management and System Engineering in the preliminary phase for new projects up to the submission of the offer to the customer
YOUR PROFILE
- University studies in electrical engineering, power electronics, aerospace or a comparable field with subsequent doctorate, preferably in the field of power management in aircraft
- Experience in the field of fuel cell technology and related topics, such as motor control, BoP architectures, inverter technologies, etc.
- Experience in the development and testing of high-voltage systems and networks for the aviation industry
- Experience in the successful management of interdisciplinary projects in the development field
- Proven analytical and organizational skills
- Methodological competence and experience in qualification and certification of aircraft systems
- Scientific curiosity and creativity combined with an eye for what is feasible and essential when solving complex technical problems
- Enjoy working in inter-disciplinary teams and with external contact persons
- Very good knowledge of English
