We are looking for someone to become part of our team of experts in our Amsterdam office as:

Logistic Manager (all genders)

YOUR TASKS

  • Monitor, develop and improve logistics processes (inbound, storage, outbound) in an external warehouse which is handling and storing parts of aircraft engines and assure a high service and quality level (incl. KPI monitoring of service providers)
  • Prepare and issue specifications, Invitation to Bid, negotiation of international Land and Air transportation activities
  • Place shipping orders for aircraft engines and parts thereof according to customer needs, under consideration of quality, timing and costs and manage a smooth customs clearance process
  • Place Import and Export customs clearance orders with nominated customs brokers taking the respective national customs regulations into account (esp. DE, NL, US)
  • Coordinate transport claims between freight forwarding companies and internal departments
  • Consult other internal departments with regards to logistic, transport or customs related topics
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by working closely with other aviation professionals of all disciplines

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Supply Chain and Logistics / Business Administration or similar
  • Relevant professional working experience as Forwarding Agent in an international freight forwarding company
  • Ability to motivate colleagues and possession of a can-do mentality (so do we!)
  • Ability to multi-task, providing coverage to several concurrent projects utilizing external resources or business partners
  • Willingness to do what it takes to achieve (our common) goals
  • Straight forward communication skills when dealing with forwarders and suppliers to represent MTU Maintenance Lease Services and protect contractual rights
  • Willingness to relocate to and work from the Netherlands
  • Very good knowledge of the English language and preferable an additional language
  • Good IT skills in particular MS Office. SAP is helpful
