Then this is your opportunity to join the IT team for Digital Maintenance Services at MTU Munich. You will be working in a highly motivated team and always looking for innovative solutions. As part of the IT team, you can shape the future in one of our most substantial business areas using AI/ML and cloud technologies.

YOUR TASKS

  • Engine maintenance is complex and costly. And selecting the best possible maintenance approach across the lifecycle of a single engine is enough of a challenge. But for a complete fleet, this increases almost exponentially. Financial, technical, operational, environmental, and market considerations vary continually. Even a single variable can shift a plan entirely. Which is why MTU's smart system, CORTEX, an intelligent maintenance costing and planning tool, is here to help.
  • As product manager IT you are responsible for the CORTEX application, you are the link between aviation experts and software developer, you manage the enhancement, the maintenance, and the operation of CORTEX. Together with the business you create the product vision and the future roadmap. 
  • You establish an in-house development team in collaboration with our MTU location in Poland. 
  • You use state-of-the art web and cloud technology and generate synergies with other Digital Maintenance solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, business informatics, information management, Technology & Management or comparable.
  • Good knowledge and first experience in software development (preferred programming language: Python)
  • First experience in the application and implementation of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Internet of Things and Cloud Computing
  • Experience in the aviation or MRO industry as a plus
  • Experienced in agile project management, especially scrum as a plus
  • Language skills: very good English skills (written and spoken) for the communication within an international developers team, excellent knowledge of the German language (written and spoken) for internal team communication
  • Eloquent communication and a problem solving mindset complete your profile
