Training Center Engineer/Technician ​

The Training Center Engineer or Technician develops, manages, and delivers technical training programs for aircraft engine mechanics and part inspectors in our engine MRO facility. This role is responsible for expanding and improving both theoretical and practical training, ensuring alignment with OEM standards, aviation regulations, and internal procedures. The profile combines hands-on experience in aircraft engine maintenance with strong skills in training development and process documentation.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  1. Design, develop, and continuously improve technical training courses covering engine disassembly, assembly, repair, inspection, and part handling.
  2. Create and update training materials, including manuals, digital content, presentations, and
    hands-on practical training programs.
  3. Develop and maintain training plans aligned with OEM standards, regulatory requirements
    (EASA, FAA, AS9100), and internal processes; and ensure training content reflects the latest
    procedures and industry best practices.
  4. Set up and maintain training rigs, mock-ups, and practical training stations in the training
    center.
  5. Conduct classroom, workshop, and on-the-job training (OJT) for engine mechanics,
    inspectors, and new hires.
  6. Evaluate trainees’ performance, identify skill gaps and provide coaching to ensure
    competency in MRO procedures and quality standards.
  7. Deliver refresher training on standard work processes, safety procedures, and quality
    compliance.
  8. Drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness and coverage of new technologies or
    engine types.
  9. Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and competency matrices for regulatory
    compliance and audits

Required Skills/Abilities:  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical degree, apprenticeship, or bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Mechanical
    Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft engine MRO operations (disassembly, assembly, repair, or
    inspection).
  • Experience in technical training development or hands-on instruction.
  • Solid understanding of aviation industry regulations (EASA, FAA, OEM standards) and MRO
    procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Strong skills in technical writing, documentation, and process description.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certified trainer under EASA Part 147, FAA Part 147, or similar standards (or willingness to
    certify).
  • Practical experience with OEM engines (e.g., CFM, GE, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney).
  • Experience in training management systems or digital learning platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
