MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30+ commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 18,000 shop visits for over 1,400 customers worldwide.  Within this Global network, MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.     

Finance Analyst ​

The Financial Analyst is responsible for all aspects of controlling, reporting, and profitability analysis for a specific engine program. Duties include implementing, maintaining, and managing financial-cial oversight for individual projects, products and overall program. Additional responsibilities include providing regular or ad-hoc reporting to internal departments and management as well as supporting Sales/Customer Support with the cost transparency necessary to monitor financial performance on key contracts. The role requires a broad understanding of operational and financial issues, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a complex organization. The position is accountable to the Senior Manager Controlling.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze the sales, costs and earnings of the program as well as individual projects
  • Create and monitor methods to improve the program operating result
  • Prepare various monthly and ad hoc financial reports and interpret information pertaining to the performance and profitability of the program
  • Support in the creation of business case calculations for individual products and fleet contract quotations, taking into account contractual framework conditions
  • Support in the preparation of the annual operational/strategic budget planning process and periodic forecast updates
  • Central point of contact for all financial issues relating to the program, including commercial support for the program management
  • Implement cross-departmental projects to improve performance
  • Create presentations for top management
  • Assist with the external audit process
  • Provide back up for other members of the Finance team
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:  

Education:

  • Bachelor/University degree in a Business-related area and minimum 5 years’ experience in financial or accounting roles, preferably in an aviation environment.
    • Relevant SAP certification (SAP FICO certification or similar) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes, with a demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
    • Experience with system integration, process mapping, and financial data management in SAP.
    • Familiarity with SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud) and related technologies is desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles (e.g., financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency on all MS Office programs, especially MS Excel including macro programming, V-lookup and pivot tables working with large amounts of data

Other:

  • Experience in aviation or manufacturing industries is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and financial practices.
