Senior IT Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior IT Manager to lead our IT function during this pivotal phase of growth. This role offers a rare opportunity to build an IT organization from the ground up, define core processes, and drive IT strategy tailored to support a rapidly expanding industrial operation. You will lead the implementation of enterprise and operational IT systems, with a focus on cloud-based solutions, production IT, building technology, and SAP integration, and supported by a global project team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic IT Leadership in a High-Growth Environment
- Develop and execute a location-specific IT roadmap aligned with the MTU Group’s global IT strategy and supports Fort Worth’s expansion.
- Partner with local and global stakeholders to ensure technology aligns with business goals, production demands, and facility operations.
- Anticipate the IT needs of a growing organization, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective systems are in place from the outset.
2. Organization Building & Process Design
- Lead the creation of a new IT organization: hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing local team.
- Define and implement IT processes, operational workflows, and service models to support both administrative and production areas.
- Introduce governance frameworks that ensure consistency, compliance, and service quality.
3. Operational Excellence & Infrastructure Oversight
- Oversee the deployment and integration of IT systems across production lines, facilities (Building IT), and business departments.
- Drive cloud-based solutions and hybrid architectures that support flexibility and future scalability.
- Ensure alignment with corporate cybersecurity, data protection, and infrastructure standards in close coordination with global IT units.
4. SAP, Production & Building IT Integration
- Lead the successful implementation and support of SAP systems and interfaces with production and facility systems.
- Ensure that IT infrastructure effectively supports industrial operations, shop-floor connectivity, and intelligent building technologies (e.g., access control, smart utilities).
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Service Delivery
- Act as the primary IT contact for site leadership, department heads, and global IT peers.
- Ensure seamless user experience through reliable IT support, proactive system management, and responsive service.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven experience building or scaling IT operations in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments).
- Familiarity with Production IT, Building IT, and shop-floor integration.
- Hands-on experience with SAP environments and enterprise system architecture.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Preferred Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or Engineering.
- Experience in the aviation, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance in industrial settings.
