Material Controller - Temporary Position
Code: MMLR / 23284
Salary: $26.10 per hour
The position of Material Controller works in Warehouse dept. and is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring that material resources are moved efficiently, in time and consistent with planned schedule.
Your Tasks:
Shipping of modules, shadow boxes, piece-parts, and commercial goods to vendors
Pre-receiving and receiving of modules, shadow boxes, piece-parts, commercial goods to from vendor and updating of applicable files
Kitting of Common Hardware for required modules per schedule
Parts Issuing
Managing and clearing Scraps as per the requirements
Monitor priorities per the engine schedules and ensure “in time” material supply to both the production floor and the Accessory shop
Manage “Material Return to Stock”
Truck driving – transport goods and their related documentation as directed
Execute Marshalling and push-outs processes per schedule
Engine shipping and receiving
Perform general warehousing functions including managing empty shadow boxes and rejected material
Conduct inventory counts as required
Other projects and duties as required (multi-tasking), and must have the ability to effectively carry out the duties of the position with a minimum of supervision
Our Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12 education
Minimum typing speed of twenty (20) words per minute
Possess a valid provincial Class 5/7 Driver’s license
Working knowledge of the standards, practices, methods, materials and equipment used in providing material handling and delivery services
Certified (and recertification required) receiving procedures, shipping procedures, dangerous good shipping, WHMIS and related MSDS documentation and forklift operations
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all internal and external contacts
Proficient in ECMS, Internet, Microsoft Office, SAP and other computer systems
Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Transport Canada’s Air Cargo Security Program, a copy of which can be provided upon request. Provide a copy of Driver’s Abstract.
